Not a Fire Chief

I've heard of dogs being afraid of fireworks, but not a fireplace. Our dog Chief is the biggest wuss. Every time we turn on our fire place, Chief stops dead in his tracks, his tail and ears go down, and he is gone up the stairs. Kind of funny for a Big Bad Boxer!
