Easter

This year Easter was a little more fun than last year, when Ava was only a few months old. Even though she didn't know what was going on she enjoyed getting her basket from the Easter Bunny and going on an Easter Egg Hunt. Earlier in the day we went to church. I bought Ava this cute dress, which she hated wearing because it was a little poofy and she couldn't crawl in it. But she looked beautiful for a couple of hours. After church we went over to my parents house for an Easter Egg Hunt with my brother and his family. Little Max had the hunting thing down, and would pull the funniest faces when he would find an egg. He also looked very handsome in his new dress coat. Ava had fun watching Max and eating the treats inside the eggs! Then we went over to my Aunts house for a family dinner. We weren't able to stay very long because Mike got a migraine and we had to leave. Poor Mike. Hope everyone had an awesome Easter!

Ava's Birthday

On March 16th Ava turned 1 year old. It was a very busy weekend, she had two birthday parties. The first one we had at our house with all my family and Mike's parents, then the second one was down in Payson with all of his family. His sister and her family were up from Arizona, so it was really good to see them and their new little addition, Lily. Ava had a good time, especially with the cake. At first she didn't know what to think of it, then she dug right in. Although she didn't eat it she had fun playing in it! She got way too many presents, I don't think we'll have to buy her another toy till her next birthday. I'm glad Ava got to spend time with all her family members who love her. I say this all the time, but I can't believe how fast she is growing up, she is no longer a baby, she is turning into a little girl, and I love it! It's only going to get more fun.

The following weekend we took Ava to the Dinosaur Museum at Thanksgiving Point. Ava liked looking at all of the dinosaurs and watching all the other kids playing. I'm not quite sure if she knew what was going on, but she acted like she enjoyed it.

Happy Birthday !

This past Sunday March 9th, Mike celebrated his 33rd birthday! There were no surprises or a big party, just a relaxing weekend with the family. On Saturday we went to dinner with Mike's parents and his sisters, and had yummy pizza. Then on Sunday I made Mike a birthday dinner and my parents came over to celebrate with us. Each year it is getting harder and harder to think of gift ideas for Mike, I hate giving him money. So this year Ava and I decided to take some pictures and give them to him as a gift. I thought they turned out good, not bad for taking them ourselves, with the help of Sara! After dinner on Sunday we all went over to the elementary school behind our house and let Chief go crazy and the rest of us enjoyed the awesome weather it was that day.
