Where does it go?

Time flies by so fast. I wish it would slow down. It seems like yesterday my kids were just babies, now they are turning into toddlers. I can't believe Ava is 2 and in a couple of months Cash will be a year. I fall more in love with them each day. They couldn't be more different from each other, and that's what makes it so fun. Ava is so full of attitude, if she had anymore I think I would go crazy! But yet she is so loving and such a good helper. I can't believe how much kids watch you, and mimic what you do. Then there's Cash who is so layed back, easy to please, LOVES to eat (emphasis on the loves), and so curious. I just wish he would start crawling or doing something, I think he would be a lot happier if he could explore and move around.

I am so thankful for my kids, they have taught me so much. Who knew that some of the most important lessons in life, could be taught by a child.

Here are just a few recent pictures of the kids.

Ava likes to try and dress herself now, this is how I found her the other day after nap time, she decided to help and put all of her swim diaper on. She was so proud of herself!

Anniversary!!

This past weekend Mike and I celebrated our 6th year wedding Anniversary. Mike's sister was nice enough to watch our kids. Thanks Ang! Mike and I had a couple plans in mind but when they both failed due to weather issues, we had to make last minute changes. So we ended up going to Mesquite, Nevada. I know it doesn't sound that exciting, but it kind of has sentimental meaning to us, plus the weather was suppose to be in the 80's. The weather was perfect, maybe a little windy, but so so nice. The first day we went to Valley of Fire State Park. It was so much fun seeing the petroglyphs, beautiful scenery, hiking, and just goofing off. Then the rest of the time we layed by the pool, caught up on movies, ate food, and even played a little four card keno. It was so nice to spend time with Mike, I feel like things have been so crazy with both of us working now and taking the kids here and there, that we never get that "us" time anymore. I am so lucky to have Mike, he means so much to me. I don't know what I would do without him. Thanks for such a fun weekend Mike and 6 awesome years! I love you!

(I know, it's kind of corny, but we thought the rock looked like it was heart shaped.)

Easter

This year was fun celebrating Easter with the kids. Especially now that Ava is getting older and is able to understands more. Unfortunately both the kids were sick, but that really didn't slow them down. The Easter Bunny brought the kids their Easter baskets, Ava went on a little Easter egg hunt, then we all celebrated with Mike's family and had a yummy dinner. We could not have asked for a better day and nicer weather. It was a great Easter Sunday!

Ava's Birthday Party

We celebrated Ava's birthday party last Sunday. It was a week after her actual birthday, but Rach had to work on her birthday. She got lots of cool presents. We really appreciate all that was given to her! Thanks.

We went to Salem Pond to feed the ducks the other day. The ducks must have already ate, cause they were not hungry!

You're how old?

Today Mike celebrated his 34th birthday! This morning the kids and I made him breakfast, then he went to work. During the day we prepared him dinner and his favorite birthday cake. It was fun to spend time as a family. The kids love Mike so much, he is such a good dad. Thanks Mike for everything you do for our family. I love you so much. Hope you had a good birthday!
